15 Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Las Vegas Photo Booth Company

Every photo booth website promises premium quality and unforgettable memories. The way to find out which companies mean it is to ask pointed questions before you sign. Here are the 15 questions professional event planners ask Las Vegas photo booth vendors, with notes on what a good answer sounds like.

Equipment and Quality

1. What camera does your booth use?

You are listening for DSLR or mirrorless camera with professional lighting. "iPad" is fine for casual backyard parties; it is not fine at $200+ per hour. Lighting matters even more than the camera: a flash or LED array is what makes guests look great in a dim ballroom.

2. Can I see full-resolution sample photos from a real event?

Polished marketing shots tell you nothing. Real event galleries show you how guests actually look in their photos, especially in challenging light.

3. What happens if equipment fails mid-event?

A professional answer mentions backup equipment on site or on call. "That has never happened" is not a plan.

Pricing and Contract

4. What exactly does the quoted price include?

The complete list should be: delivery, setup, breakdown, an on-site attendant, unlimited sessions, prints or digital delivery, props, and a standard overlay. Anything missing from that list is a fee waiting to be added.

5. Are there any fees not in this quote?

Ask it exactly that way, then get the answer in writing. Travel fees, weekend surcharges, early setup fees, and print overages are the usual surprises.

6. What is your overtime rate if we extend on the night?

Events run long. Know the number now, not at 10 p.m.

7. What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Las Vegas events move. A fair policy lets you reschedule with reasonable notice and is clear about what the deposit covers.

Logistics and Professionalism

8. Can you provide a certificate of insurance for my venue?

This question filters out hobbyists instantly. Most Strip resorts and many off-Strip venues require a COI naming the property before a vendor can load in. A company that hesitates here has not worked real Las Vegas venues.

9. Have you worked at my venue before?

Not disqualifying if the answer is no, but a company that knows your ballroom's dock schedule, freight elevator, and floor plan removes a whole category of day-of risk.

10. How early do you arrive to set up, and is that time billed?

Setup should happen before guests arrive and should not consume your paid hours. One hour of setup is typical for standard booths, longer for 360 platforms.

11. Is the attendant included, and what do they actually do?

The attendant should run every session: coaching poses, managing the line, organizing props, and fixing hiccups before you notice them. At better companies the attendant is a hype person, not a button-presser.

Delivery and Extras

12. How and when do guests get their photos?

The 2026 standard is instant: prints on the spot, digital copies by text or QR code within seconds. "We email a gallery next week" is five years out of date.

13. Do I get the full digital gallery afterward?

You should receive every photo and video from the night in an online gallery, included, not as an upsell.

14. How customizable is the overlay and experience?

Monograms for weddings, brand kits for corporate, themed templates for parties. Ask to see examples of custom work, not just the options menu. Our corporate clients typically brand everything from the start screen to the print footer.

15. Can you show me recent reviews from Las Vegas events?

A verified Google Business Profile with consistent recent reviews beats any testimonial page. Look for mentions of specific events and venues, those are hard to fake.

The 30-Second Gut Check

After the call, ask yourself three things. Did they answer everything directly, without dancing? Did they ask about your event (venue, guest count, vibe) or just push packages? And did the all-in price come as one clear number? Companies that pass all three almost always deliver on the night.

Want to run this list on us? Get in touch and ask away. We answer all 15 without blinking, starting with the camera (DSLR), the COI (same-day), and the attendant (always included).
